So Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up here pretty soon and I'm super excited about that. About becoming an adult my sister and I excitement about the holiday has to an obsession with decorating (as opposed to presents). So we are doing traditional theme (1940s) with dark reds and dark greens. Also we are finally (hopefully) getting a new artificial tree. Our old one was being about a decade old was on it's last legs for years. After visiting 6 stores and looking at over 50 trees we finally decided on one. A Dogulas Fir. Problem is we have to go get it on black friday, haha cuz that's the only day that store is having any kind of sale on the trees (and it's sucky sale too).
About cosplay: Things were kind of a rough start to Syndra. I was afraid that the material was dying to use would not work because of it's thickness. But I finally did a test run and it was just fine. I was SO happy! So while I still slave away over patterns I am collecting materials. Tho I have gotten started on an piece. The last 4 or so days Ive been slaving away a breastplate. It's taking me a long time because of several reasons. First my inexperience with worbla, then I think maybe besides the headpiece is the most complicated piece on the whole cosplay (because of the ton and a half of padding I'm trying to jam pack in there). So like super round pieces with a flat piece that needs to conform to my body perfectly (because of the deep V) while trying to keep it thin as possible. So but I'm almost ready to put the decorative layer on and add straps. The reason I had to do the breast plate first is that it supports or goes under some other major components. So I could no really progress without doing this first.
Umm schools like only 3 more weeks soooooooo HERE I COME LAST WINTER BREAK!
